One company put out body-positive vibes in Toronto ahead of the Victoria's Secret fashion show

The runway isn't only reserved for models. That's what a new campaign run by Toronto-based company Knixwear is trying to prove.

In an effort to raise awareness about body shaming and promote positivity instead criticism, Knixwear launched the "Every Woman is an Angel" campaign. They did a photoshoot and runway show last week and paired up with BOLO (Body Love Inc) for workout classes and more.

The women in the photoshoot are all unique and defy the stereotypes we often see in advertising and in the media. 

It's easy to forget we're all human and we can't all look like a Hadid sister after watching models hit the runway for the Victoria's Secret fashion show last night. It's notorious for showing off the "angels," often marketed as "curvy" or "sexy." But in reality, they're still extremely thin and their bodies are unrealistic for most. Some articles said Victoria's Secret promotes an unhealthy image of what the female body is supposed to look like. And, I admit, I wrote this while shoving chocolate and popcorn in my face as I judged one outlandish set of lingerie after another. (Just a regular Tuesday night!)

So here's a friendly reminder to be ok with the skin you're in.
